Work Areas

In light of the extensive work required and the absence of paid staffing, it is essential that we prioritise our efforts and focus on the areas where we can make the greatest impact. Drawing on the findings from our recent Mosque Survey, we have identified a set of core work areas that will guide our organisational activity over the next two years. Each area has been assigned dedicated leads who will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and progressing work within their remit.

The priority work areas and their respective leads are as follows:

• NHS Engagement: Abdul Karim and Usman Anwar
• Education: Tariq Rafique and Raheel Younis
• Police Engagement: Naved Afzal and Imran Iqbal
• Mosques Policy & Practices: Abdul Basit Shah and Mohammed Tufail
• Local Authority Engagement: Honorary Officers (to be reviewed following the local elections)

This structured approach will enable us to work strategically, maximise our collective capacity, and ensure that our efforts remain aligned with the needs identified through community feedback.
